About Me.

Hello! How fun that you wanted to know more about me!
I'm a Technical Designer based in Stockholm, with specific experience in VR development.

I started off my journey into the gaming industry from another creative profession where I worked as a hairdresser for a couple of years. This experience gave me the skills to work a lot with details and it is something that I carry with me into my dream profession, being a game designer.

Below you can learn more about my education leading up to this point as well as some of my skills!

Education

2023-2025

XR Creative Developer
Hyper Island

At Hyper Island I learned Unity Engine, the basics of Unreal Engine, 3D Modeling and game design specifically towards VR development and what to think about when creating experiences for VR. We worked with different clients such as SF Studios, American Chamber of Commerce and The Point Labs, creating prototypes and shipped projects for them.

We worked to learn the entire workflow of a project, from ideation to optimization and finishing touches, using scrum sprints and retrospectives.

We worked a lot in teams and got to work on our soft skills a lot, Hyper Island giving us tools to reflect, give feedback and work structured in small and big teams.

2024

Game Design
Luleå Technical University

As Hyper Island peaked my interest I started a course in Game Design to deepen my knowledge about the process behind designing games. This way I could apply these skills in my projects as well as at my internship.

We learned how to analyse games in a game design perspective as well as cultural and historical aspects of designing games. What has changed? What worked? What got remade to fit the future of games?

2020

Hairdresser Certificate
Svenska Frisörskolan

This is where I came from! I studied to be a hairdresser and worked with it for a few years before pursuing a career in tech, but through this I learned to listen to people and became really detail oriented as that is an important part of it. I still value and use these skills when approaching tech related problems!

Skills

1 / Unity Engine

During the majority of my time at Hyper Island I worked in Unity Engine and created many projects. I mostly worked with C# scripting and assembly, providing functionality and optimization to the projects.

2 / Unreal Engine

At my intership I got to dive into Unreal Engine, where we created a VR game. I worked mostly with implementing custom features made in C++, implementation of features in blueprints as well as shaders in the material graph.

3 / Documentation

One thing I am passionate about is being organized and having all of my information stored in documents to create guides and version history for myself and my teams

4 / Learning new things

During my working years I've done a lot of very different jobs where I've had to learn new things. I find the process of trial and error rewarding even though I am a results driven person. I take some pride in the things that I've been able to learn both career focused and personal learnings.

5 / Adaptability

As my education at Hyper Island taught me a lot of different things I can jump on a lot of different tasks and make sure they are done even if the task may not be for my specific role. I love having a lot to do and work the best under at least a bit of pressure. Please challenge me to learn something new!
